Suicide Prevention Day: My Story

This is my story. To some, it may not seem unique, while to others it may come as a shock given who I am and how happy I seem all the time. Suicide and depression are real. They do not have a look, nor are there clear signs to clue loved ones in. Today, on Suicide Prevention Day, I want to share this with anyone who will watch or read.

I recorded this video a year ago. I intended to post it right away, but fear and anxiety held me back. I didn't feel brave enough to share MY WORDS on camera until today. This is probably the rawest and closet way I have shared my story.

I hope my story and this video can help someone and let them know they are not alone. There is so much more I can say. So much more I have yet to disclose. But this is step one, in my healing process, and hopefully a step for anyone struggling now.

This video discusses a sensitive subject matter. Viewer discretion is advised.
